Travel Insurance - Options
Travel insurance is an necessary part of planning any holiday. The essentials of travel insurance include emergency medical cover, cancellation cover and cover for your personal belongings. However, there are some areas that can be covered under travel insurance that many are not aware of :

1) Single Item Cover

While a standard travel insurance policy provides cover for your personal luggage, including the contents of your suitcase, your passport and a small amount of cash, if you are planning to take more expensive items such as photographic equipment, jewellery, a laptop, Ipad or other valuables then it will be important to have these items covered separately.

2) Travel Legal Dispute

The last thing you expect to find is a hotel that's half-built or not even close to the suggested star rating. Or perhaps an all-inclusive resort that serves food poisoning with every meal? Travel legal dispute provides up to £50,000 worth of legal fees from a specialist team of travel solicitors who are on hand to take on any genuine grievance/breach of contract over £150 (£1,000 for illnesses).

3) Wedding Cover

If you are travelling abroad to get married or know anyone else may be, then make sure the special day is covered under your travel insurance policy. For less than £50 cover can be offered for everything from wedding rings to photography up to a value of £1500.

4) End Supplier Failure

Another benefit available through a passenger protection upgrade, End Supplier Failure offers financial compensation should your airline, hotel, rail operator, coach operator, car hire firm, or excursion provider go into administration. So if any of these withdraw their services on account of financial failure you won't be left empty handed.
